The principal of the “Comisión de Derechos Humanos del Estado”, Jorge Olvera García and the municipal president Juan Rodolfo Sánchez Gómez, reached an agenda on individual rights for Toluca, trough the installation of a video call booth for citizens to complain, get orientated and get legal advice by just picking up a phone. Toluca sums up to Tlalnepantla and Chalco. Those towns already had a video call booth.
Also, an agenda to attend the problematic of stray animals because they attacked inhabitants in San Mateo Otzacatipan and Santiago Tlacotepec, leaving, as a result, a dead person. The actions that were taken included making a situational diagnostic of dog’s population and a plan of intervention to control stray dogs and cats. The Codhem and the Toluca’s government agreed on taking care of this problem that may put in danger public health by not having control over the procreation of animals.
Likewise a way to save the “Casa José María Heredia” and turn it into a cultural forum. Along with them letting us know that the recommendatory statements on the 32/2017 because of the violation to the right of security and personal integrity after a couple were allegedly assaulted physically and sexually by municipal cops. The steps that were taken were to watch the District’s Attorney, to teach human rights specifically, how to use ways to exchange the use of physical force, guns, and giving privilege to pacific resolution of conflicts and persuasion, negotiation and pacific intervention techniques.
About the recommendation 8/2018 made by several complains because of the damage made to their cars by potholes and avenues and streets in bad conditions, local authority presented evidence that issued an acceptance of the recommendatory statements. The municipal president Juan Rodolfo Sánchez Gómez specified that watching and taking care of the potholes is a permanent public service to the streets to keep them in good shape.
