2018. According to the report of the situation of people who defend human environmental rights. Made by the Centro Mexicano de Derecho Ambiental for the 5th consecutive year, homicide was put first on the rate of aggression committed against people who defend the environment in Mexico, Mexico is still a very dangerous country for people who defend the earth and the environment because they still are victims of aggression.
The total of the registered aggressions by the Centro Mexicano de Derecho Ambiental, from 2010 and 2018 is 440. From which 49 were in 2018. Is important to specify that a single attack can include several aggressions of different types. On the other hand, these registered aggressions are just an example, because not all aggressions are reported.
