Bringing art and culture to the population, especially young people, is part of the public policies of the municipal government of Toluca, to which the fifth governorship is added, in order to reduce crime rates and contribute to the reconstruction of the society , so this Friday the plastic exhibition "Mujeres Indigenas" of the painter Hilario Domingo was inaugurated in the courtyard of the Municipal Palace.

During the inauguration of the exhibition, within the framework of the " “Viernes Clásico Cultural”, organized by the fifth councilor, Araceli Martínez Gómez , who explained that, through artistic and cultural activities, such as painting, dance, theater and music, it is possible to encourage more people and also offer alternatives to prevent and keep young people away from bad habits.

The photographic exhibition "Mujeres Indigenous" is composed of 16 works by the painter Hilario Domingo, in which you can see topics such as the countryside, landscapes, faces and cultural diversity in which various techniques such as watercolour, oil, charcoal and acrylic are combined on canvas and paper.

Referring to the exhibitor, the fifth councillor Araceli Martínez Gómez said that “The cracks, the lines that spill or the clusters of colours captured in each painting are a constant in his pictorial work, because they represent the abstraction of that every day, inner and mystical world of his existence".

In addition, she recalled that in 1992 he obtained a second place in the National Painting Prize "Francisco Goitia" and in 2017 she was awarded the prize in Arts by the City of Lerma.

In his opportunity, Hilario Domingo expressed that painting is one of the fine arts, through which "human beings manifest our inner world, emotions, dreams and ideals. In the world of painting, every day becomes an aesthetic creation, the pain in the sublimation of existence and tragedy in an explosion of colours to enhance our struggles.

He explained that a true painter "is not only the worker of the brush or of colour, but he is a creator of images and searches, of our frustrations or our hopes". In this framework, he thanked the local government for the space to set up his exhibition and share his work in the courtyard of the Municipal Palace.

As part of this exhibition, the Mexican Foundation of Deaf Gastronomy EnSeñas AC presented a culinary show, with the aim of publicizing the products prepared by students of the foundation who, thanks to a scholarship, take the gastronomy degree and once they have obtained the training, they will be placed in the workplace, encouraging self-employment so that they have an opportunity and thereby improve their quality of life.

In the musical part, the teachers Nalley Maya and Daryl Anderson delighted the attendees with the themes: Mujer, Sólo el amor, El necio, Unicornio y Te quiero. At the inauguration were present councilors and trustees of the City of Toluca, special guests and public servants.
