A report reveals failure on the Gender Alert on Edomex

The Gender Alert, which was implemented on eleven towns of the Estado de México since 2015 has not, given any results. Due to the town halls, they do not have a precise strategy to its instrumentation. They do not even have a diagnosis or a work plan. In addition, the public ministry, which is responsible to investigate the cases, do not has material resources nor prepared staff to deal with the cases.
Monica Álvarez Nemer, who is a part of the Comisión Especial de Seguimiento a Feminicidios from the Local Congress, pointed out what was previously mentioned. And, made clear that the Gender Alert is no longer taking place. On the part of the Public Ministry, which was supposed to investigate and solve the cases. As on the part of the Town Hall, which was supposed to install the alert and operate it.
