Seven people, four of them alleged drivers of public transportation, were arrested and presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office of San Cristóbal because they are part of a gang dedicated to assaulting passengers of collective units; Two vans of the public service were available to the authorities.
The detained drivers belong to the Union of Independent Carriers of Ecatepec "Grupo Morelos", which serves the communities of Los Héroes, Las Flores and Francisco Villa.
The vans presented to the Public Ministry have plates 835-876-J, with economic numbers 165 and 837-420-J.
On Thursday afternoon, elements of the Municipal Police of Ecatepec detained a subject after assaulting the passengers of a unit of the aforementioned route with violence.
The driver of the unit, identified as Joel "N", was presented as an accuser. However, when making a statement, the alleged arrested aggressor pointed out that the operator was in collusion with several other people to facilitate the theft of users.
