Misinformation persists in giving away bags and straws in Metepec

Merchants and owners of small businesses in different points of Metepec, acknowledged that there is misinformation about the recent disposition of the Municipal Band, which establishes the prohibition of delivering plastic bags and straws to customers, who also are unaware of the sanctions to those who can become creditors, if they violate this measure.
In contrast suppliers of plastic bags, already report a reduction of 20% in their sales.
As it is known, Metepec established last February, that any person dedicated to the trade such as miscellanies, greengroceries, poulterers , etc., are obliged to not give plastic bags for the transport of the products that users consume, in order to contribute to improve the environment and avoid its contamination with this type of products, which can take more than 100 years to disintegrate in some cases.
The Observer Mex, inquired with some tenants on this issue and we realized that many of them, do not have specific and true information on the prohibition of this new provision, because no one has informed them about it.
One of the interviewees, Eduardo Reyes, worker in the "San José" miscellany, in the neighborhood of San Mateo, indicated that he did not know in its entirety about this provision of the Municipal Band. However, he said that when little information was obtained about it, the comments made to him were not so accurate. They informed him very vaguely, specifically his supplier of the plastic bags that he gives to the clients.
Similarly, Reyes mentioned that his provider, who lacked information at that time on the subject, told him that this provision would cause them to be unemployed, and in turn, the latter gave him a "brochure" describing the material from which the bags that it provides are made. All this indicates that the information about this regulation is not so accessible and easily disseminated to those involved.
