The parliamentary fraction of the Partido Verde Ecologista (PVEM) on the Local Congress, is looking to make harder the fines against the ones who attempt against the environment. Specially, the ones who cut the trees. Because even though this crime is categorized as a serious offense the forest is still being destroyed by criminal organizations.
Before the call of help the authorities have been doing, authorities from Ocuilan, because of the devastation of the speed up devastation of their forests, TheObserverMéx questioned the coordinator of the PVEM, Jose Alberto Couttolenc Buentello, about his position, reason why he anticipated that on the project of a new Code of Biodiversity for the Estado de México, are setting out a tougher and harder position against environmental crimes.
