Recently it was thought that after a couple conflict, the "guard and custody" of the children was an exclusivity for mothers. however, times change and statistics confirm. today every day that passes, at least one parent wins the battle in the courts to assume the ownership and care of their children under 12 years.
The figures of the Judicial Power of the State of Mexico show a more balanced transition between genders, when the legal battle is for the guard and custody of the children.
In this regard, the PJ reported that during the first quarter of 2019, in the state of Mexico, 180 final judgments were handed down for guardianship and custody of minors, of which 64 corresponded to men and the rest to women. that is, on average, every day a man received custody of his children, said the counselor of the Mexican Judiciary, Juan Manuel Trujillo Cisneros.
He reported that in the same period, 242 interlocutory sentences were issued, 75 of them of men and the rest of women. A sentence of this kind is related to the amount of pension that is agreed to have custody.
