Mayor Fernando Vilchis Contreras announced that there will be severe penalties for people who throw trash on public roads, which will face unchanging arrest, a measure that will help prevent waste from ending up in the drainage and causing blockages and consequently flooding.
“I have to announce that we are going to increase the penalties for people who litter or waste water. That is going to be a measure of government that we are going to have, there will be unchanging arrests to those who litter, ”he said during the start of rehabilitation work with hydraulic concrete on Rio Grande Street, which delimits the Tierra Blanca and Vista Hermosa colonies.
The mayor announced that he will present a reform initiative to the Municipal Side. So that the sanction for the aforementioned administrative offenses is increased.

That is a great help to Ecatepec's authority to provide a better service. ” Herrera Moro mentioned that in the last month and a half they removed 25 tons of garbage from the Ecatepec drainage, whose grates are filled with waste that has to be removed daily.
He concluded that citizens must join the municipal government to avoid littering the streets, which will make the municipal drainage system work better and floods are prevented.
