Mexico is ready to implement electronic voting in electoral processes in an orderly and responsible manner, agreed Yuri Gabriel Beltrán Miranda, Electoral Advisor of the Electoral Institute of Mexico City (IECM) and Adolfo Arreola García, professor-researcher at the Universidad Anáhuac , by participating in the television program of the Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM), Entre Voces.

The specialists agreed that, in order to establish this voting system throughout the country, it is necessary to start from local experiences such as the cases of Coahuila, Jalisco and Mexico City, and other countries such as Brazil, India, Estonia, Switzerland and Germany, where different aspects of this form of voting are applied.

The Electoral Councilor of the IECM pointed out that, at the moment, every time elections are held, thousands of citizens are trained as Casilla Board Officers, which could be eliminated if progress is made towards an electronic voting system, in addition to that it would be less complicated counting votes and more accurate results.
