Ecatepec’s government initiated the operation Cordones Seguros on the most crime incidental of the town, in order to guarantee the security of the citizens in coordination with the National Guard, the Secretary of Security of the town, and the Justice District Attorney´s Office of the State of Mexico.
The operation began at 4 a.m. on the main avenue, near the Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores from Ecatepec.
The mayor, Fernando Vilchis, headed the security operations, which will be done simultaneously between 4:00 and 8:00 hours in four spots in Ecatepec. According to official data on that hour is when most crimes are committed on the town.
