IEEM APPROVES SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON GENDER EQUALITY AND NON-DISCRIMINATION

The General Council of the Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico held its 4th Ordinary Session in which the creation of the Special Commission on Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination was approved. As well as the agreements for the integration of the operational structure and implementation of the Institutional Archives System, together with the Annual Internal Audit Program, corresponding to the fiscal year 2020.
So that, in the point referring to the Agreement establishing the Special Commission on Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination, it is mentioned that the IEEM as an authority in electoral matters, should monitor the application of the constitutional principle of gender parity, as well as taking actions to prevent and eradicate political violence against any vulnerable group.
Therefore, the Special Commission was created with the aim of contributing to the design, execution, and promotion of institutional mechanisms that guarantee the exercise of the political-electoral rights of women and men on equal terms and free from discrimination.
Thus, based on the provisions of article 183, of the Electoral Code of the State of Mexico, the confirmation of the Commission was as follows as President, the Electoral Councilor, Sandra López Bringas. Also the Electoral Councilors María Guadalupe González Jordan and Laura Daniella Durán Ceja, in addition to representatives of the political parties, the Gender and Eradication of Violence Unit and the Directorate of Citizen Participation.
Meanwhile, the point corresponding to the Agreement that approves the integration of the operational structure and the implementation of the Institutional Archives System of the Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico, in terms of Articles 20 and 21 of the Law, was approved.
With this implementation, it is intended to establish the policies and criteria for the organization, arrangement, systematization and digitalization of documents, as well as the custody and conservation of the archives in possession of the administrative areas of the IEEM, whose structure was conformed with an Archives Coordinating Area , one of Correspondence, one of File of Procedure by Administrative Area, one of File of Concentration, as well as one of Historical File.
The points corresponding to the Agreement approving the Annual Internal Audit Program, corresponding to the fiscal year 2020, were also approved; and in turn, the Executive Secretary, Francisco Javier López Corral, reported on the Activities Report presented by the Executive Secretariat, referring to the units attached to the Institute.
On the other hand, the 1st Special Session was held in which the Resolution issued in the file IEEM-CG-SMI-INC-SPEN-01/2019, formed on the occasion of the disagreement promoted by a member of the National Electoral Professional Service attached to the Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico, against the individual result obtained in the evaluation of the performance of the OPLE System, in the evaluation period September 2017 to August 2018.
