There is already a draft budget for Edomex

The Local Congress received on Thursday the initiatives that integrate the Fiscal Package for 2020, with an estimated budget of expenditures in 302 billion pesos and in which, the largest expense will be, as every year, for current spending.
The delivery was made this morning by Mexican government officials to local legislators, gathered in the Juarez Hall of the legislative headquarters.
The Edomex Expenditure Budget amounts to 302 billion pesos, which represents a real growth of 1.1 percent, compared to the 2019 budget and is very similar to the growth of the economic package of the 2020 Federation, government representatives said state, who say that there is a "0.8 percent reduction" in the payroll, that is, not 1%, but anticipated it as an "achievement."
They also noted that they expect to contain operating expenses, "with austerity measures to save 1,200 million pesos."
Regarding payroll savings, when there is a vacancy it will be frozen, it will be fixed as announced every year from the government of Arturo Montiel.
It was reported that the state government has 220 thousand places for teachers, 73 thousand doctors and nurses and 35 thousand police officers.
For the social development sector, 2,247 million pesos were increased, that is, tentatively for education, health and the fight against poverty; and announced that attention to women will have a 5.8 percent increase in the axis for equality.
The project considers a 9 percent increase in public investment, with 3,700 million pesos for the water, public works, communications, employment and mobility sectors.
