With the start of the rehabilitation work on the structure of the Puente de Fierro formally initiated the project to create the Tourist Corridor of Ecatepec, promoted by Mayor Fernando Vilchis Contreras in coordination with authorities of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH).
Vilchis Contreras reported that among the sites that make up this cultural and historical passage include the tomb of Morelos, the Albarradón, the old railway station, the building that housed the old Mexican Red Cross and the most ambitious is the rescue of the Puente de Fierro, built in 1870.
“We are working between 10 and 15 places and historical, cultural and symbolic monuments for our municipality. Then this tourist corridor includes several cultural spaces and that in some cases involve the distribution of budgets, but we are in good time to discuss our final budget and we will allocate a part for the rescue of cultural spaces, ”he said.
