The municipality reflected for December last year, an increase mainly in auto theft, kidnapping cases, and crimes related to fraud.
According to figures from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System, from 2018 to 2019, Zinacantepec added 3 321 321 illicits that threaten the safety of its inhabitants, however, some of these showed considerable increases, and others gradually reduced. With the above, the category of thefts, presented a percentage decrease of eight percent, among the number of records from 2018 (1 014) to 2019 (930), which adds 1,944 complaints in the demarcation.
These are the figures of those crimes that were reduced: The theft to carrier reflected a significant decrease of 71%, since for 2018 it registered 14 incidents, while for 2019, 4.
The same happened with the robbery in collective public transport, with 38 and 17 complaints, which in percentage equals 55%. On the other hand, theft to passersby on public roads, decreased in real numbers almost double; with 116 and 56 cases, so it dropped 52%.
With a total of 35%, home robbery increased from 139 to 91 effects. 12% was what descended theft in individual transport, with 60 and 53 records.
