IEEM agrees on more simulations of the PREP, it shows deficiencies
The General Council of the Instituto Electoral del Estado de México -Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico- (IEEM) agreed to make new simulations of the Programa de Resultados Preliminares -Preliminary Results Program- (PREP), to decrease the broadcast time of the polling day results of the 1st of July and fix other failures, as slowness of the system, the lack of personnel training and other technical details that discontent the political parties and even to the councilors.
During an extraordinary session of that collegiate body, also it came out that the Partido Acción Nacional -National Action Party- (PAN), impugned the first agreement of the municipal election commission of Toluca, which would allow the creation of a special committee to make an official debate between candidates to the mayoral service of Toluca, requested by the Morena party, wherewith delayed the viability of the debate and even, in some moment, the representative of the PAN requested that is better to cancel the exercise.
In the case of the PREP and after more dozens of replacements were approved, as well as the members of the decentralized body, as the candidates, wherewith already add more than 1,204 changes in the spreadsheet and formulas, the representative of the PAN, Alfonso Bravo Mena, was who pointed out the failures of the PREP in the simulations made it until now.
In resume, he highlights no one of the exercises would be qualified as “successful”, because they presented diverse deficiencies, especially, he said, the lack of important training to the field operators, for those in charge to take photos, transcribers, checkers, etc.
“We see with worry that it does not flow the training. In the last cut at the 20:20 hrs, only the 33.32% of capture accords had been captured and it is not expected to present failures of energy in everywhere”, he indicated.

Finally, it was agreed to move forward in the opportunity areas and carry out the simulations that could be possible to organize before the elections.

The candidate’s replacements inside the local process to renew the Congress and the 125 local governments, broke the record this Monday with another wave of changes in the electoral spreadsheets and formulas, wherewith it is already counted 1204 replacements.
These changes included the replacement in the electoral spreadsheet of 123 candidates to municipal president; of 873 municipal councilmembers; of 131 candidates to councilor and even of 58 candidates to majority deputies and other 9 of proportional representation.
