The next first of September the LXIV Legislature of the Congress of the Union will starts, in this occasion, it will be represented in its majority for women (65 women in the Senator Chamber and 246 seats will be occupied by women).
Also, in a local way, from the 16 municipalities that participated in the last election, four will be administered by women and for the first time after to constitute the Mexico city, this will be governed by a woman.
But, what is the opinion of the citizenship about this? According to the study made by the poll house De Las Heras Demotecnia provided that the 58% of the Mexican think that nowadays there is no gender equality yet.
In fact, when a woman occupied important charges inside of an Enterprise or in politics, the 72% of the participants think that men don’t accept this kind of decisions and only the 11% agrees with this.
When it was questioned to the surveyed about the participation of the women in different fields, the 45% considered very important that they are present in politics, the 59% think that it’s important their participation in the sciences, the 94% think that it’s important the woman role in the house, the 64% of the surveyed see important the feminine participation in the businesses, the 61% considered that the women in the sports field are essential.
