Rains provoked casualties and disaster in the orient of Edomex
At least two deceased, more than thousand 500 affected and damages in more of 135 houses, with material losses still without measure, it is the cipher until the moment of the intense rains that were registered the night of this Wednesday and the early morning of Thursday. At least in three municipalities of the west of the Valle de Mexico.
The most affected municipalities are Nezahualcoyotl and CHimalhuacan, where reported at least 135 houses with severe damages, as in Chicoloapan, the overflow of the river Manzano opened a huge hole in the roadways which were almost erased because of the strong streams that made a huge hole in the structure.
In addition of the huge hole of almost 30 meters of deepness that it is opened a cause of the overflow of the river Manzano, also the mount Chimalhuache fall apart, buried cars and a backhoe loader which were placed in the place. On another hand, the Attorney’s General Office, Alejandro Gómez Sánchez, confirmed the deceased of two people, as a result of the downpour that struck in the west of the territory and causes a serious flood in different places. It’s about a man that tried to help a woman with his child in a water flood, however, the woman was hit in the action and died, while the man hasn’t been identified.
The Comisión del Agua del Estado de México (CAEM) -commission of water of the State of Mexico- informed that works to handle the affectations in the streets and houses that caused the intense rains registered last night in all the state.
Also, it reported that the Grupo Tlaloc activated its protocols of immediate attention, to support in the disaster of the levels of waterlogging and the cleaning of the houses. The committee reports that the intensity of the rain let 135 houses with damages in Nezahualcoyotl and Chimalhucan, whereby they are been manage and it works in the eviction of the water and its posterior cleaning.
The CAEM, also detailed that in Nezahualcoyotl, the team of “Agua limpia” -clean water- Works in the cleaning of the 50 houses, with two equipment of suction pressure and two tank trucks to wash the yards and disinfect the tanks.
In Chicoloapan, the personnel of the CAEM supported to the Comisión Nacional del Agua (CONAGUA) – National Commission of the Water- in the attention to the overflow of the river Manzano, in the collect of the trash and branches that formed a bottleneck in the bridge which cross the River Manzano avenue, which undermined the public street.
Due to the slopes in the high part of the Hill Chimalhuache, the streets of Canoas, Compuerta and La Paz, of the residence El Molino de Chimalhuacan, dragged branches, mud, trash, affecting the movement of multiple vehicles that were in the site.
In that municipality, they work together all the levels of the government in the cleaning work of the 85 houses of street 4. Together with 100 soldiers of the Mexican Army and municipal firefighters, the CAEM Works with three equipment of suction pressure, water trucks, two tipper trucks, two fire rescue, two backhoe and 11 bombs of ½ Hp.
