This Tuesday was confirmed the installation of the LX Local Legislature of the State of Mexico, which under a new administration will no longer be “the Administrative Office of the parts of the actual governor”, to become an autonomous power, which will facilitate the transition of an authoritarians regime to a democratic one, warned Azucena Cisneros Coss, president of the general committee, after officially taking the oath.

In a ceremony that will make part of history in the State of Mexico, by turning into the first Local Legislature that is not controlled by the actual governor. Cisneros Coss gave a very small but overwhelming speech with the main topic of the official installation of the new Legislature, after historical elections too, due to the AMLO effect, which gave a 180° turn to Mexican politics.

Previously and for a 75 votes unanimity, Morena’s deputy was chosen to lead the parliamentary work of the first ordinary sessions stage; Juan Jaffet Millán from the PRI and Sergio García Sosa from Morena were chosen to join her.

After taking office before the members of the “installer commission”, which are still part of the 59 Local Legislature with no control of the current government, the new Administrators took place in their seats and opened a period for the entry into the force of the new legislators which took their office.

It was this way that, Morena’s deputy took the lead of the plenary, which will be composed in the following form: 38 deputies for Morena, 12 legislators of the PRI, nine of the PT, seven from the PAN, five from PES, two from PRD and two more from PVEM.

Later, the president pronounced a brief speech, in which remarked the importance of the new Legislature in the State of Mexico, saying it is a historical opportunity because “it is the government that millions of inhabitants of the State expressed in the ballots last July”

“We have the honor and the responsibility of answering to those calls with actions and effective laws which will allow us to pass from an authoritarian regime to a fair and democratic life”, assured Cisneros Coss after taking office.

She also warned that she wouldn’t allow corruption or privileges to the politicians and that it will also be absolute changes because the LX Legislature will be no longer an “Administrative Office of parts of the executive branch”. “The State Congress shouldn’t be external to the debuting transformation and, to achieve it, this branch will no longer be the Administrative Office of the parts of the actual governor”, he said. In its place, he said, they will offer “a responsible, with greater emphasis on recommendations and the conciliatory majority, but always intolerant to excesses, privileges and public corruption”, said the Ecatepec’s legislator.

Nearly in an immediate manner, applause and cheers of the Morena’s legislators and their allies which formed the coalition “Juntos Haremos Historia”, filled up the room with cheers, to explode after that with an almost unanimous chorus of 52 voices: “it is an honor being with Obrador, it is an honor being with Obrador…”

The minority of 12 legislators composed by the staff of the PRI, still unorganized, without a final coordinator nor legislative schedule, looked astonished.

Minutes later, the 38 legislators from Morena, led by Maurlio Hernández, left the place way to the Main Square to celebrate with people that already were expecting them.
