Juan Carlos ´N´, who was arrested last week in Ecatepec in charge of the homicide and dismemberment of at least 10 women I the area nearby Jardines de Morelos (a local square), is undoubtedly the most horrifying case of a serial murder in the State of Mexico, since there has not been a similar previous history.

This was declared by Alejandro Gomez Sanchez, District Attorney of the State of Mexico, during his appearance in the presence of the Congress of the LX legislature on the occasion of the gloss of the first government report. In which he revealed that the subject arrested altogether with his couple – Patricia ‘N’ - last Thursday, might be involved in at least ten more femicides according to the first statements in the public prosecution service.

He also explained that his detention was given from the following of three disappearances reported in the area, reported between last January, July and September. From there on the patterns of this serial murder were recorded.

‘This is one of the most terrifying cases of serial murdering in history. There isn’t a similar previous history’. He pointed out.

In front of legislators who recalled the highs on the rate of femicides and homicides on purpose all over the country and the levels of impunity in such cases. The district attorney explained in detail how it was possible for the police to arrest Juan Carlos ‘N’ and Patricia ‘N’; this woman was in charge of hooking the victim ´by selling clothes, jewelry and cheese´.

Additionally, he explained that the investigations of these three cases of disappearance, allowed them to build a network of relationships around the couple´s residence; in which they couldn’t access due to the lack of evidence to request a search warrant.

The PRD deputy, Omar Ortega, assured that the arrest of these serial murderers in Ecatepec was not the result of an investigation but of a fortuitous event. When the couple was carrying the human remains on a stroller, this called the attention of police officers in the area.

The attorney talked about the investigations being carried out but did not clarify whether the detention was fortuitous.

However, he clarified that the police officers asked the suspects to show the material they were transporting on the stroller since there was a report of the disappearance of a baby.

He also mentioned that in the statements in front of the Local District of justice, Juan Carlos ‘N’ revealed without any guilty to have taken part in at least 20 criminal events but only in ten cases he binged out more specific data about his location, clothes, names, etc. for which this is the main focus of the investigations in process. He also pointed out that in the profile of the suspect, who was confined in the penitentiary of Chiconaulta in Company of his couple; he integrates all the main traits of a typical serial killer.
