The “Comisión Federal de Electricidad” restricted electricity service to Zinacantepec because citizens owe the CFE more than 34 million of pesos and this debt is also held by the CFE to the “Organismo de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado” of the town. This situation affected the supply of well number 3. Which provides water to certain parts of the town. Authorities expect to normalize the situation on the next few hours.
They also informed that during the following days, the principal of the organization has encouraged reconciliation with the public in order to reach an agreement. We hope this situation standardize by the ending of this week. Some of the affected places by the restrictions in energy service are San Cristóbal Tecolit, San Matías Transfiguración, Barrio El Calvario, Barrio de San Miguel and the county seat of the town.
The municipal government informed that along the electricity problem, the water pipe service is limited. Because they only count with three pipes, but only one is fully working. While the rest are breaking down. Nevertheless, the authorities informed the residents; so that they could ask for the waterpipes service, they can call to the phone: (01 722) 2183247 and 2183248 extension 109 and have at arm’s length their last payment receipt.
