According to the data given by the person in charge of the agency, Olga Sánchez Cordero, in Mexico 66 from 100 women have suffered any kind of violence by their couple or family. In 2018 a woman or girl was murdered every 160 minutes and in 17 states there is “gender alert”.
Along with the woman in charge of the Instituto Nacional para las Mujeres, Nadine Gasman, presented an emerging action plan in order to guarantee integrity, security to the lives of girls and women. Which implies intervention from the three levels of the government.
This plan takes into account the state coordination to build peace, monitoring and surveillance in lodging places and a national register of public transport and keep surveillance in it. Besides, Gasman on her intervention told that a new consultative board to follow up on the plan will be made. And they will take immediate actions that consider state coordination to build peace and a national register of a public system, focused mainly on identifying violence to girls in schools.
