PRD promotes amnesty to imprisoned women who committed abortion

The parliamentary faction of the PRD on the 60 local legislature presented an initiative of the Law of Amnesty, to accused and imprisoned women, in prisons of the State of Mexico, for having committed the crime of abortion.
It is estimated that nowadays, there are close to one hundred women incarcerated for this crime. Most of them come from rural towns and high socioeconomic marginalization.
