Deputies of Morena accuse the rector of smear campaign

The parliamentary faction of Morena in the LX local legislature accused university authorities of launching a "belligerent" campaign against the Congress and the deputies of that political institute, in an attempt to stop the analysis of different initiatives that have been received to reform the organic law of the UAEMex, being false that Morena tries to violate the autonomy of the University.
During a press conference headed by the president of the political coordination board, Maurilio Hernández (with the assistance of all the members of the fraction), the initiative that was presented by academics from the university and from their own was also validated. Morena deputies to be analyzed as a whole, "because we are obligated to do so” said the president of the faction.
The legislator also accused the university authorities led by the rector Alfredo Barrera Baca, to launch a smear campaign against the legislative branch of Morena, in order to generate an atmosphere of "confusion."
He said that behind this campaign there are strong political interests and "factual powers" that resist the changes for which people voted in 2018.
