Reinforces IEEM knowledge about the electoral system and the parties

With the objective of informing the public about their political-electoral rights and introducing them into issues of public financing to political parties, their access to radio and television, as well as exposing independent candidates, the Directorate of Political Parties of the Institute Electoral of the State of Mexico (IEEM) during the first 6 months of the year has organized courses, a symposium and an analysis table, among other activities.
Thus, under the organization of said Directorate, the First Symposium "Political Parties and their obligations in a democratic environment" was held where the academic Georgina Cárdenas Acosta participated with the theme "The obligations of political parties and Gender equality".
During the event Hiram Raúl Piña Libien explained what related to "political parties and transparency obligations"; in as much the subject "Relationship between the political parties the public administration and the democracy" was exposed by Jaime Espejel Mena. Finally René Torres Ruiz mentioned the conclusions and reflections of the event.
The Analysis Table was also developed: "Public Money to the Political Parties?" Where the Electoral Councilor of the National Electoral Institute (INE), Pamela San Martín Ríos y Valles, participated. The specialists Alejandro Díaz Domínguez and Pablo Xavier Becerra Chávez, through topics related to the prerogatives to which the political institutes are entitled, such as public financing, access to radio and television, were approached to the citizens; monitoring and public debates.
On the other hand, the courses "Independent Candidatures" and "On the procedure to obtain registration as a local political party" were taught. In order that Mexicans citizens know and exercise their political rights of association, vote and be voted and having as headquarters the Center for Advanced University Studies, Tianguistenco Campus and the Higher Studies Unit Jilotepec of the Universidad Mexiquense del Bicentenario
Courses in which were mentioned the positions of popular election for an independent candidacy, the stages of the selection process such as: the convocation, the acts prior to the registration, the obtaining of citizen support and the registration of the same.
While in the talk about the procedure to obtain registration as a local political party, the requirements to establish a local political party, the deadline to carry out the procedure, and which authority determines if the application is accepted, were made known.
