The Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM) held the Meeting of socialization, analysis and linking of the local results of the Children and Youth Consultation 2018, in coordination with the Local Board of the National Electoral Institute and with more than 40 representatives of civil organizations, governmental and educational institutions, political parties, the LX Legislature, the media, as well as public-electoral officials and parents.
The idea of this exercise was to present the panorama facing this important sector of the population that includes ages between 6 and 17 years, whose participation was more than 812 thousand girls, boys and adolescents in the Mexican entity and with it, begin to draw strategic lines that translate into public policies from the point of view of each agency.
To do this, Liliana Martínez Garnica, Director of Citizen Participation of IEEM, and Iván Álvarez Gómez, Vocal of Electoral Training and Civic Education of the Local Board of the National Electoral Institute in the Mexican entity, explained that through 8 fundamental aspects of the data, trying to cover the most outstanding ones facing children and youth.
