With the POTRO BICI program implemented 4 years ago, many students of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMex) benefit. However, it seems that the system has fallen into disuse and the bicycles, which emerged from the Toluca HUIZI initiative, are only used by authorities of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMex) in special events.
TheObserverMéx went to Ciudad Universitaria and in interviews with students and teachers of the community they reported that with the entry to the position of the current rector, Alfredo Barrera Baca, the program "Potro Bike" was not given continuity, which was last boost the culture of bicycle use as a means of transportation, and the mobility of students within CU.
In the same way, consulted personnel whose identity is remembered because they assure that they are prohibited from giving statements and that they may have reprisals, they report the “Potrobicis” if they exist, “but they only occupy them when there are sporting events that demand the use of them” .
