ELIMINATORY STAGE OF THE FIFTH IEEM DEBATE CONTEST BEGINS

The Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico published in the page www.ieem.org.mx in the Events and Calls section, the list of venues and dates on which the registered youth from 15 to 29 years of age will be submitted in the fifth IEEM Debate Contest 2019.
According to their folio number and residence municipality, they must go to the corresponding headquarters from 09:30 hours according to the indicated date, to argue and defend a position on a particular issue in the area of democracy.
Among the topics to be discussed, the following stand out: The importance of citizen participation in electoral processes; Information technologies and social networks in democracy; Youth in the construction of democracy; Gender Equality in the State of Mexico; Influence of young people on the political development of the State and, the Participation of minorities and vulnerable groups in democracy.
The participants divided into two categories A: from 15 to 20 years and B: from 21 to 29 years of age, must be presented at the University Center of Ixtlahuaca (CUI), on September 4; while, in Toluca, the debate will be at the Electoral Training and Documentation Center of the IEEM, on September 5.
