Authorities of Toluca, initiated an administrative proceeding against a commercial establishment, apparently a pharmaceutical, because they would have attempted against a tree, to which they spilled chlorine to poison it; If this criminal action against the environment is proven, those responsible could become creditors for a fine that can range from 8,000 to 253,000 pesos, depending on the degree of damage.
According to a report from the commune of the capital, the reason for the attack on the white cedar could be because it obstructs the visibility of the commercial of the company.
The administrative action against the alleged perpetrators started from a citizen complaint, they said.
It was reported that the inspection staff of the General Directorate of the Environment came to the place, located on Paseo Colón , almost corner Venustiano Carranza, where they observed that it is a white cedar five meters high, with an age that ranges between five and seven years.
