The government of Ecatepec will have a helicopter for security work, in order to help reduce the incidence of crime, and it will also be used for emergency care. Mayor Fernando Vilchis Contreras said that with this measure Ecatepec recovers 15 years of delay in public security.
After an extensive discussion in town hall session, the members approved by majority the rent of the aircraft from this date and until December 31, the end of the year period in which the crime incidence increases.
It is a Bell 407 helicopter for five passengers, single-engine, short and light, which will fly over the municipal territory daily, especially points with a great influx of people and high crime incidence.
