Naucalpan experienced a general increase in common-law crimes during 2019, according to figures from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP). During the last year, 22 thousand 420 crimes were registered in Naucalpan; This represents an increase of 26.23% compared to 2018, the year in which 17,760 crimes of the common law were reported.
In 2019, the month that reported the most incidents in Naucalpan was October, with 2 thousand 275 cases, while February was the lowest month in crimes, with 1,420 records. Unlike Toluca, Naucalpan experienced constant rebounds throughout the year. Practically the crimes went up and down every month in Naucalpan during 2019. In the year, 150 wrongful killings were committed. September was the month with the highest number of homicides, accounting for 17 cases and May with the lowest number of homicides dolos, with eight cases in that month.
If we consider that in 2018, 124 malicious homicides were committed in the municipality, it means that during the past year, homicides increased 20.96% in Naucalpan. Specifically, with femicides, six cases were recorded in the year, as was Toluca, all were allegedly carried out “with another element”. November registered two femicides. In 2018, three femicides were registered, in May, October, and December. This means, in simple terms that femicides doubled in Naucalpan during 2019.
As with the Mexican capital, the assaults in Naucalpan increased. During the past year, 6 320 320 robberies with violence were committed in the municipality, with most of them being theft of a vehicle with violence (520 thousand cases). In 2018, 5,273 robberies with violence were recorded, of which 2 thousand 32 were vehicle theft. This means an increase of 21.75% in assaults, although it should be emphasized that the majority of assaults also decreased here. In this case, it is a 33.68% decrease in vehicle theft with violence.
Interestingly, rape cases decreased. In 2018, 109 cases were registered, to decrease in 2019 to 81, which represents a 34.56% decrease in this illegal.
