With unchanging arrest between 24 and 36 hours will be sanctioned people who offend, harass or perform acts of exhibitionism against women, in addition to the offender must take psychological sessions to avoid such attacks, as established by the 2020 Municipal Band of Ecatepec, approved by the council and will be published on February 5.
Municipal President Fernando Vilchis Contreras said that the Ecatepec government has taken a long list of measures to combat all forms of violence against women ranging from combat to the sale of alcoholic beverages and the creation of a Victim Assistance Center for Violence and Missing Persons, until the application of severe sanctions against harassment and exhibitionism in the streets of the municipality.
Article 130 of the said document indicates that “they are infractions against the dignity of persons” and its section VII details: “Issuing offenses, obscene or sexual words, as well as performing acts of exhibitionism against women, affecting their dignity, freedom, physical integrity and rights one or more occasions ”.
He mentions that the sanction will be an unchanging arrest for 24 to 36 hours and "if the offender is a public servant, it will be made available to the competent authority, if applicable."
