In the state of Mexico, the authorities announced the suspension of massive events, on the occasion of COVID-19, since six cases were confirmed in the state, four are in isolation, one hospitalized and one more who was discharged.
The state authorities also announced, in addition to the suspension of massive events, cultural and sports activities, to avoid crowds that raise the possibility of contagion. In a statement to the media, the state executive said that there is a 300 million peso bag for medicines, supplies, and equipment; while working with business chambers and unions to facilitate the implementation of "work at home" and provide support to mothers, in order to keep their children at home.
The state executive, Alfredo del Mazo, said that six hospitals have been designated to attend to cases that are necessary, as well as 60 mobile medical units to carry out preliminary evaluations and filters before reaching hospitalization.
